At Area of People, we are committed to the safety of all users, including children. We take child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) seriously and adhere to the highest standards of child protection, in line with applicable laws and regulations. This page outlines our standards and procedures to combat CSAE and ensure a safe experience within the Area of People app.

1. Standards Against Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE)

  • We strictly prohibit any form of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or exploitation content on our platform.

  • We do not allow content or conduct that exploits or endangers children.

  • We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for users who engage in CSAE-related activities, including but not limited to sharing CSAM or engaging in exploitative communication.

  • Violations of these standards result in immediate action, including account suspension, content removal, and reporting to relevant authorities.

2. In-App Reporting Mechanism

We provide users with a built-in mechanism to report inappropriate or harmful content or behavior directly within the app:

  • Users can report issues via the "Report" button on any user profile or post.

  • Reports are reviewed promptly by our moderation team.

  • We encourage users to report any suspected CSAE or harmful activity immediately.

3. Addressing and Handling CSAM

We are committed to:

  • Reviewing and investigating all reports of suspected CSAM immediately.

  • Taking appropriate action against reported users, including suspension or banning.

  • Reporting confirmed CSAM to law enforcement and relevant authorities, as required by law.

  • Cooperating fully with law enforcement agencies in investigations of child safety incidents.

4. Compliance with Child Safety Laws

  • We comply with all applicable child protection laws and regulations.

  • We actively monitor updates to global child safety standards and align our policies accordingly.

  • We follow best practices as outlined by the Tech Coalition and other recognized child safety organizations.
